Christmas brings a lot of joy and cheers in one’s life. It is the time when the entire family gathers around the table and the house is filled with laughter, friendly ribbing and the delicious aroma of the homemade Christmas feast wafting around the home. Everything is decorated in the shades of green, red and white. So why not make your cupcakes Christmassy? Here are some excellent ideas that will make your cupcakes sing ho-ho-ho!
Santa Hat cupcake
The story says that the Santa slides down the chimney to bring presents to the children who have been good throughout the year. Well, this time Santa slid down the chimney and landed on the cupcake!
The ingredients you need:
- a dozen baked vanilla cupcakes
- white creamy frosting
- The red food colouring agent
- Step1: mix a part of the white frosting with the red colour. Keep the rest of it for the hat rims.
- Step 2: Load the red-coloured frosting into a frosting pipe fitted with a round tip. If you feel that the frosting is too soft, then chill it for thirty minutes so that it is firm enough to work with.
- Step 3: Take a cupcake and get moving! Line it in spirals of delicious red frosting. Make the spirals smaller as you reach to the top. Place a white marshmallow right on top of the hat.
- Step 4: Put the white frosting in a pipe fitted with a star tip and make stars on the rim of the cupcake. Voila! Here is your Santa Hat cupcake!
Melty Snowman cupcake
As the name suggests, this cupcake aims to melt in the mouth. So what if you did not get the white Christmas you were hoping for? These melty snowmen cupcakes will surely make up for it.
Ingredients you need
- a dozen vanilla cupcakes
- a dozen wafer cookies
- one cup of vanilla frosting
- Four ounces of semi-sweet chopped chocolate
- One teaspoon shortening
- twelve orange jimmies
- A dozen chocolate peanut butter cups covered in chocolate
How to go about it?
- Step 1: Insert the wafer cookie into the cupcake from the top as far it goes. Microwave the frosting for fifteen seconds but stir after every five minutes till the liquid has a thick consistency. Use a spoon to pour the frosting over the cupcakes and allow some of it to drip on the sides.
- Step 2: mix the chocolate and the shortening and microwave it for a minute but stir it after every thirty seconds. Make sure they have melted completely and the mixture is smooth. Dip halves of cookies into the melted mixture and let the excess drip off. Place these on a sheet of waxed paper and top it with the chocolate peanut butter cups. Put them away to chill till they are firm.
- Step 3: Put away the rest of the chocolate in the aplastic bag and cut a small hole in one of the corners. Make eyes on the wafer heads using the chocolate and use an orange jimmy to make the nose. Your hats are ready for the cupcake. Place them on the cupcakes and see people lining up for your cupcakes that look like the holiday cheer.
North Pole Christmas Cupcakes
Bring the North Pole on your dinner table or your bakery with these north pole Christmas cupcakes.

- One can of white frosting
- twelve small candy canes
What to do?
- Step 1: Load up the white frosting in a pastry bag fitted with a star tip. Squeeze the bag slowly while pulling up to create long stars.
- Step 2: Coat the frosting lightly with the coarse with powdered sugar. To make sure that your cupcakes are from the North Pole, you can make a flag carrying the name and attach it to a candy cane. Insert the candy cake into the cupcake.

- twenty-four cupcakes
- green buttercream
- Six egg whites
- Two cups of powdered sugar
- A quarter of unsalted butter
- One teaspoon of vanilla extract
- Green gel food colour
- Holly leaf cookies
- 1 1/2-inch holly leaf cutters
- Three egg whites
- Half teaspoon of cream of tartar
- One lb confectioner’s sugar
- Forest green food colour
- Sugared cranberries
- A half-cup of fresh or frozen cranberries
- Two tablespoons of corn syrup
- A half-cup of powdered sugar
- A pastry bag fitted with a large star tip
How to make them?
- Step 1:
In a bowl, whisk the egg whites and sugar until it becomes a smooth mixture. Set the bowl into a saucepan in simmering water and cook but the bowl should not touch the base of the saucepan. Whisk it continuously till the sugar has completely dissolved and the eggs whites are warm.
- Step 2:
Take it off from the stove. Use an electric mixer and beginning with low speed and slowly going to the highest, whisk the mixture. Continue with the process till you can see the stiff shiny peaks and the bowl is cool.
- Step 3:
Reduce the speed to the medium and slowly add the pieces of butter and whisk the mixture until it looks like whipped butter for about three minutes.
- Step 4:
use a paddle attachment and add vanilla extract. Mix it well and remove all air bubbles. Add the green colour.
- Step 5:
line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Brish the cranberries lightly with the corn syrup and roll them in sugar. Keep them away till they are dry.
- Step 6:
Assemble the cupcakes in two touching rings with 15 in the outer ring and 9 in the inner ring. Put the green buttercream in the pastry bag and frost the cupcakes to create the wreath. Fill all possible gaps with the cream. Decorate them with hooly leaf cookies and the sugared cranberries. Let it sit for an hour
